Solomon’s Bakery Hygienic Resin Flooring
The Challenge
Solomon & Company (St Helena) PLC needed to renew the floor within its bakery. Because of the island’s remote location, the flooring had to be installed in-house by the company’s own team. The project therefore required an easy-to-apply system that would provide a durable, hygienic and attractive finish suitable for a food-production environment.
The Solution
After discussing the site conditions and performance requirements with Solomon & Company, Resin Building Products recommended Resbuild SL Screed with a decorative flake broadcast, sealed using Resbuild Clear Coat. The system provided a seamless, hygienic resin floor with an attractive finish and the durability required within the bakery. Resbuild supplied detailed instructions and a step-by-step installation guide, enabling the customer’s team to complete the work successfully. Following the completion of the bakery floor, Solomon & Company also used Resbuild SF Coating on the floor of a supermarket elsewhere on the island.
