Description
Resbuild DPM is a two-pack epoxy resin system developed to act as a surface-applied damp proof membrane, primer and moisture suppressant for concrete substrates. Supplied as part of a wider industrial coating supply, it is specifically designed to support fast-track construction and refurbishment programmes by allowing earlier installation of floor finishes over moisture-bearing concrete.
Formulated with excellent adhesion to damp surfaces, the system can be applied to concrete and sand/cement screeds with high residual moisture levels, helping to control vapour transmission and protect subsequent coatings or floor coverings. It is capable of accommodating substrate moisture readings of up to 97% relative humidity, making it a reliable solution where traditional drying times would delay project timelines.
Resbuild DPM functions as both a moisture barrier and a surface-tolerant primer, providing a stable base for resin coatings, screeds and bonded systems. Its low viscosity allows for easy application by brush or roller, while coloured variants (clear, grey and red) support visual control during installation to ensure consistent coverage across the substrate.
The system can be applied as either a single or two-coat application depending on substrate conditions, with typical coverage rates of approximately 3m² per kg for the first coat and 4m² per kg for subsequent coats where required. Once applied, floor toppings or additional systems can be installed directly onto the surface, either while tacky or with a broadcast aggregate to create a mechanical key.
