Resbuild Ultra Laminating Resin
Product Documentation
Description
Resbuild Ultra Laminating Resin is a high-performance epoxy system developed for use in reinforced lining and protection systems where exceptional chemical resistance and structural durability are required. Supplied as a two-pack resin, it is designed to be used in conjunction with reinforcing fibres or mesh to create a robust, bonded laminate system.
Unlike standard coatings or sealers, this laminating resin forms part of a reinforced build-up, allowing surfaces to be strengthened while simultaneously protected from aggressive chemical exposure. When combined with suitable reinforcement materials, it creates a continuous, impermeable barrier capable of withstanding contact with acids, alkalis, solvents, fuels and other harsh substances.
The cured system delivers excellent mechanical performance, including strong adhesion to concrete and steel substrates, as well as high resistance to abrasion and impact. Its ability to cure at low temperatures and achieve full chemical resistance within seven days makes it suitable for both new installations and refurbishment projects in demanding industrial environments.
Resbuild Ultra Laminating Resin can also be used as a clear, chemical-resistant sealing layer, providing additional surface protection where reinforcement is not required. Typical applications include chemical bund linings, process areas, storage facilities and other environments where long-term resistance to corrosive substances is essential.
The material is applied by wetting out the substrate and reinforcement layer, ensuring full saturation and eliminating air voids to create a dense, uniform finish. Coverage rates will vary depending on the reinforcement system and substrate profile, typically ranging between 0.5kg and 1.5kg per m².
With its combination of chemical resistance, structural reinforcement capability and durable finish, Resbuild Ultra Laminating Resin provides a reliable solution for protective lining systems in aggressive service conditions.
