Rapid-Curing Concrete Joint Repair for Document Archive
The Challenge
Fastline Services required a reliable concrete joint repair system for a busy document-storage facility. Deterioration around the joints had created an uneven floor, causing forklift trucks to bounce or deviate as they crossed the damaged areas. This affected operator safety and disrupted the smooth movement of vehicles through the archive. Because the facility operated continuously, aisle closures had to be kept to a minimum. The repair system therefore needed to cure quickly while creating a durable, level transition across the joint.
The Solution
Working with Fastline Services and its client, Resin Building Products specified a rapid-curing MMA repair system. The damaged concrete was removed before the joint was rebuilt using products selected to accommodate movement and create a smooth transition for forklift traffic. The repair process involved: Removing degraded concrete around the joint. Priming the prepared area with Resbuild MMA Primer. Bridging the joint using Resbuild MMA Jointseal. Completing the repair with Resbuild MMA Flexfill. The rapid-curing system allowed the repaired area to reopen within a few hours. The completed work restored a smooth, durable surface, improving forklift stability and operator safety while keeping disruption to the facility to a minimum.
