Fastline's Joint Repair
The Challenge
Fastline Services required a reliable repair solution for deteriorating concrete joints within a busy document storage facility. The breakdown of the joints had created an uneven surface, causing forklift trucks to bounce or deviate as they crossed. This raised safety concerns for drivers and disrupted the smooth operation of the archive. With the facility running continuously, aisle closures needed to be minimal, meaning any repair system had to be fast-curing and capable of delivering a seamless and durable finish.
The Solution
Working in collaboration with Fastline and their client, Resin Building Products specified a specialist repair system designed to remove the damaged concrete and restore the joint with a flexible, seamless finish. Due to strict time constraints, a rapid-curing MMA resin system was selected, enabling the full repair to be carried out and reopened within a few hours. The Solution Involved: Removing the degraded concrete around the affected joints Priming the area with Resbuild MMA Primer Installing Resbuild MMA Jointseal to bridge the joint line Completing the repair with Resbuild MMA Flex-Fill to create a smooth, level transition The completed works provided a durable, seamless finish that eliminated forklift instability and improved operator safety. Fastline were delighted with both the quality of the repair and the timely execution of the project.
