TTURA is an award winning material, developed in conjunction with The Art & Design Research Centre at Sheffield Hallam University. It is an attractive, highly versatile, durable material, which consists of typically 85% recycled glass.

TTURA includes previously Œdifficult¹ waste from the building and automotive sectors combined with a solvent free resin. This makes TTURA more sympathetic to the environment and reduces application hazards.

Easily laid as a screed, TTURA gives a totally seamless finish without any need for separate expansion joints. It can also be cast as tiles or in sheet form, incorporating if desired, designs, logos or text as integral elements that remain visible throughout the life of the product. Furthermore, should any subsequent alterations be required, the results are virtually undetectable and permanent, whether filled or polished out.

Resin colours can be precisely matched to any RAL or British Standard colour, allowing maximum design flexibility and the ability to match any corporate identity.

Since its introduction, TTURA has been used in several large scale architectural projects around the country, including an urban space fronting Newcastle¹s Laing Art Gallery, which has also won a prestigious D&AD silver design award, the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, Red Lion Square in London, and as paving in Sheffield¹s Devonshire Quarter. It has also enjoyed success as a material for bar and work surfaces, with several major pub and fast food chains making TTURA their material of choice.

TTURA has also won the professional category in the International Design Awards in 2002 & 2003, and was given the Material of Excellence title by Material Connexions in New York.

TTURA is particularly suited to flooring applications both for internal and external environments. Whether laid as a screed or cast into tiles, the surface can be controlled from a simple trowelled finish to a highly polished one. The resultant finish is impervious, has high resistance to UV rays and chemical resistance to oils, petrol, diesel, alcohol, urine, dilute acids and alkalies.

TTURA is ideally suited for applications in kitchens, bathrooms, commercial bars and furniture.
If you are looking for a luxury solid surface material, which is stain and scratch resistant, low maintenance, available in any colour imaginable and is made from recycled material, then TTURA is the only option.
